Meshes of the Afternoon

Maya Deren, 1943. This is the strangest of the films we’ve seen this far. When watching it, I didn’t really know what to make of it. The story doesn’t follow typical narrative structure. In this film, there is no true beginning or end. Deren asks the question ‘When do we ‘get’ a film?’ in creating this.
